Requirements for Adding a Bank Account on PayPal

  • Le compte bancaire doit être d’une banque dans le même pays que votre compte PayPal.
  • Vous ne pouvez pas avoir un compte bancaire enregistré sur plus d’un compte PayPal à la fois.
  • Plus de 3 comptes PayPal ont déjà utilisé ce compte bancaire.
  • Votre compte bancaire peut être actif sur un compte PayPal restreint ou débiteur.
  • PayPal n’accepte pas certains comptes, comme la plupart des comptes en ligne ou prépayés.
  • Le nom sur le compte bancaire et sur PayPal doit être le même.
  • Si les montants des virements que vous avez saisis pour confirmer votre compte bancaire sont incorrects trois fois, il est désactivé.

Adding a Bank Card to Your PayPal Account

To add a bank card to your PayPal account:

  1. Press on Wallet and then on + next to Banks and Cards.
  2. Choose Debit and Credit Cards and enter your card details.
  3. On the app, go to Wallet and follow the same steps to link your card.

You can link up to 4 cards to an unverified account, and up to 24 cards once verified.

Verifying a Bank Account on PayPal

To confirm a bank account on PayPal:

  1. Go to Wallet, select the bank account to confirm, and click on Confirm.
  2. Confirm that you are the account holder for security reasons.
  3. PayPal will deposit 0.01 EUR in your account with a 4-digit code for confirmation. Use this code to confirm your account online.

Paying with a Bank Account on PayPal

To pay with a bank account:

  • Associate a bank account or card with PayPal, providing IBAN and BIC.
  • Confirm the account or card in Wallet, necessary for authentication.
  • PayPal verifies your identity with two small transfers.
  • Select PayPal at checkout on a merchant’s site and use your ID and password to authenticate.

Activating the Payment Mode on PayPal

To activate automatic payment mode:

  1. Update your automatic payment mode by pressing on Wallet then on Automatic Payments.
  2. Select the merchant to view or modify the information.
  3. Automatic payment starts with your first payment.

To manage your automatic payments on the PayPal site, go to Settings, then PAYMENTS, and choose Automatic Payments.

Troubleshooting for Adding a Card on PayPal

Reasons why your card may not be added to PayPal:

  • You must confirm your bank account and card to use them.
  • Your PayPal-linked email address must also be confirmed.
  • If your account is restricted or requires a security check, this may prevent your card from being used.
  • Ensure that your card information is up to date.
