Requirements for Adding a Bank Account on PayPal

Adding a Bank Card to Your PayPal Account
To add a bank card to your PayPal account:
- Press on Wallet and then on + next to Banks and Cards.
- Choose Debit and Credit Cards and enter your card details.
- On the app, go to Wallet and follow the same steps to link your card.
You can link up to 4 cards to an unverified account, and up to 24 cards once verified.
Verifying a Bank Account on PayPal
To confirm a bank account on PayPal:
- Go to Wallet, select the bank account to confirm, and click on Confirm.
- Confirm that you are the account holder for security reasons.
- PayPal will deposit 0.01 EUR in your account with a 4-digit code for confirmation. Use this code to confirm your account online.
Paying with a Bank Account on PayPal
To pay with a bank account:
- Associate a bank account or card with PayPal, providing IBAN and BIC.
- Confirm the account or card in Wallet, necessary for authentication.
- PayPal verifies your identity with two small transfers.
- Select PayPal at checkout on a merchant’s site and use your ID and password to authenticate.
Activating the Payment Mode on PayPal
To activate automatic payment mode:
- Update your automatic payment mode by pressing on Wallet then on Automatic Payments.
- Select the merchant to view or modify the information.
- Automatic payment starts with your first payment.
To manage your automatic payments on the PayPal site, go to Settings, then PAYMENTS, and choose Automatic Payments.
Troubleshooting for Adding a Card on PayPal
Reasons why your card may not be added to PayPal:
- You must confirm your bank account and card to use them.
- Your PayPal-linked email address must also be confirmed.
- If your account is restricted or requires a security check, this may prevent your card from being used.
- Ensure that your card information is up to date.
