On the device, open Settings, select Developer options, and enable USB debugging. Follow the instructions to enable Developer options if not visible.
Swipe down the status bar on your Android to open the notifications panel. Tap twice on the "Device charging via USB" notification. Choose the connection type in the USB Preferences.
Go to Settings > About . Tap the build number seven times. Enable USB Debugging. For Android 4.2 or above, Developer options are hidden. Follow these steps to activate them.
To share your 4G connection over USB, enable the "USB Tethering" button. Use a USB cable or the phone’s Wi-Fi to connect. Enable "Tethering & portable hotspot" in the Settings.
Right-click on the USB 3.0 port and select Enable device. In some cases, enable the USB port to resolve the selective suspend issue. USB ports can be enabled/disabled via the registry editor.
Check the USB OTG compatibility of your flash drive and adapter. The drive must be formatted in FAT32. Use an adapter, if necessary, to connect your drive. USB OTG-compatible drives can be read directly.
Disconnect all USB devices from your PC, restart the computer, then reconnect your flash drive or other device. The issue may stem from a Windows startup error or driver installation.
To disable USB Debugging mode: Go to SETTINGS, DEVELOPER OPTIONS, and turn off USB debugging. Wait for the changes to take effect.
Navigate to these options in the Android settings, under System then About phone. Enable the developer options to access USB Debugging.
