Où Est Passée La Barre Des Tâches ? Moving and Customizing the Taskbar in Windows 10

The taskbar in Windows 10, whether black or gray, is located at the bottom of your screen. It displays the time, volume control, quick access, and the Start menu icon. You can move it to another part of the screen. To do this, right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, and a window will open to customize it. You can lock it, automatically hide it, or reduce icons. Moving it is done by holding the click and moving the mouse. Resizing is done by pointing to the edge of the bar until you see a double arrow. To prevent future changes, right-click on an empty space and select "Lock the taskbar." A checkmark will indicate that the locking is active. Check the locking setting to block the taskbar’s position and test other locations if you wish.

How to Restore the Taskbar on Your Computer

Normally, the taskbar is in the center of the Desktop, but you can move it to the right side. Long-press or right-click on an empty space on the bar to see more than just your applications and the time. Personalize it by changing the color, pinning your favorite apps, and rearranging buttons. Use the preview feature to quickly see the Desktop content behind open windows. In the taskbar search area, type the name of the app to pin. Right-click on it, then select "Pin to taskbar." If it’s already open, long-press on its button, then swipe up. If you’re using a mouse, right-click on the app button in the bar, then pin or unpin it by selecting the corresponding option.

Restoring the Taskbar

Hover the cursor over the edge of the screen where the Windows taskbar was. A gray line should appear on that edge. If the cursor turns into a thin arrow, hold down the left mouse button and drag from that edge to resize the taskbar to the desired size. The bar containing the START button may be hidden. To restore it, use one of the provided methods, for example, starting in Safe Mode and returning to normal Windows.
